Like many people I represent, I grew up tough. I'm well-acquainted with poverty, violence, and addiction, and I’ve lived through things no one should ever have to. I know that if things had been a little different for me, I could have ended up in jail too. Luckily, a few people believed in me and fought for me when I needed them to, and I ended up here instead. So, I use my training and experience to believe in people and fight for them in hopes that they end up somewhere better too.
